Kuwala / Oasis website status review: 21 October 2026 This is a review of dated project records, not a new hardware or model test. Working software and the complete station Oasis is working on the station computers in our lab. The complete portable station still needs assembly and combined power, charging and Wi-Fi tests. The local-network record updated on 21 October says the visitor Wi-Fi, local address and ordinary disconnected phone entrance are not commissioned. Local model inference and books already saved on a device are separate capabilities from a phone connecting to an offline station. Today's remote app, Android download and station PDF links require approved email sign-in. The remote preview needs an internet connection. Public publisher links beside the Development examples provide another way to inspect those sources without an Oasis account. Library and search The dated 15 October catalogue check recorded 176 unique published PDFs across seven libraries. A 20 October source-reading trial also used 176 PDFs. Overlapping library memberships must not be added to obtain a document total. The 20 October commissioned-model source-reading trial recorded query embedding timeouts of about 15 seconds and used keyword-search fallback. Its successful completions did not establish working meaning-based search. The website review did not perform a fresh model request or confirm a repair. Meaning-based search needs renewed acceptance before being called dependable. Citation and quantity checks do not establish that an explanation preserves every condition in a source. In the same trial, extracted diagram text lost its column layout even though the copied wording matched. Original pages remain necessary for checking context, tables and diagrams. The 13 October sustained run remains a historical stability result: 56 completed requests, including seven partial answers. Its timings and source limitations are retained in development-checks-2026-10-13.txt. It is not a current speed benchmark or an accuracy percentage. Power planning At the owner's request, the public guide now uses shorter, narrower planning ranges: about 16–24 hours locally, or 8–12 hours with a compact satellite terminal. These are assumptions for planning, not newly measured results. The reference battery remains 12.8 V × 50 Ah = 640 Wh nominal, allowing about 575 Wh usable. The revised guide assumes about 24–35 W locally and 48–75 W with the terminal. Energy divided by power gives approximately 16.4–24.0 hours and 7.7–12.0 hours, rounded for the public guide. The earlier guide assumed 19–35 W and 44–75 W. Increasing the assumed minimum load shortens the optimistic end; it does not prove actual power consumption. Solar input and charging other devices are excluded. Battery condition, conversion losses and heavier use can shorten runtime. Solar charging depends on sunlight, panel position and demand. Complete-station measurements are still needed and will replace the assumptions. Lessons and images The first verified Khan Academy pilot covers addition within 20, using Kolibri's viewer. Wider subject packs remain in preparation. No classroom capacity, disconnected-phone lesson acceptance or field outcome is claimed. The 9 October app images remain explicitly dated earlier interfaces; fresh signed-in captures were not available during this website review. The real 19 October lesson image and the labelled station concept remain unchanged. Records used Local-network status and implementation plan, updated 21 October 2026.
